Vanilla Ice Cream with Grilled Peaches Smoky-sweet grilled stone fruit meets creamy vanilla ice cream in this irresistible summer dessert.
Ingredients
- 3 large ripe peaches, halved and pitted
- 2 ripe nectarines, halved and pitted
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil
- 6–8 scoops quality vanilla ice cream
- 3 tablespoons honey
- Flaky sea salt for finishing
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F).
- Pat fruit halves dry and brush lightly with oil on both sides.
- Grill cut-side down for 2-3 minutes, then rotate 45 degrees and cook 2 minutes more.
- Flip and grill skin-side for 1-2 minutes until caramelized.
- Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream nestled in each fruit half.
- Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with flaky salt.
Notes
Choose fruit that’s ripe but still firm to prevent falling apart on the grill. Oil your grates well to prevent sticking.
