Ingredients
- 1¼ cups fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled if fresh
- 1 medium ripe banana, broken into chunks
- 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
- 1 cup orange juice, preferably fresh-squeezed
- 1 cup ice cubes (6–8 cubes)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
Instructions
- Place strawberries in the blender first. Break apart any frozen clumps with your hands.
- Add banana chunks on top of the strawberries. This creates the creamy foundation.
- Pour in yogurt, orange juice, and sweetener. The liquid helps everything circulate during blending.
- Add ice cubes last. Count them out for consistent results every time.
- Secure lid tightly. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then increase to high speed.
- Continue blending for 45 seconds until completely smooth. Listen for the sound to even out.
- Stop and scrape sides if needed. Blend another 15 seconds on high.
- Pour immediately into chilled glasses. Serve right away for best texture and temperature.
