Description

These crispy oven-baked Halloumi Fries require just four ingredients and are ready in 30 minutes. A perfect savory appetizer served with marinara.


Ingredients

  • 9 oz halloumi cheese, cut into sticks
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F and lining a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking. While the oven warms up, prepare your dredging station by setting out three separate shallow bowls: one for the flour, one for the beaten eggs, and one for the panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Slice the block of cheese into even sticks, resembling the size of thick french fries. Working with one piece at a time, coat the cheese in the flour and shake off any excess, then dip it fully into the egg wash, and finally press it firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to ensure an even, thick coating on all sides.
  3. Arrange the coated sticks on your prepared baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching each other. Bake them in the preheated oven for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the Halloumi Fries are deep golden brown and crispy on the outside.
