Description
A warming and naturally sweet cinnamon tea made with just water and cinnamon sticks. Caffeine-free and perfect for relaxing.
Ingredients
- 1 cinnamon stick (preferably Ceylon, approx 3 inches)
- 1 cup filtered water
- Optional: Honey or maple syrup to taste
- Optional: Splash of milk or cream
Instructions
- Combine the water and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan and cover with a lid. Bring the mixture to a vigorous simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat to low and continue to simmer gently for 10 minutes, keeping the pot covered to retain the liquid.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the tea steep for an additional 10 minutes. Strain into a mug and serve warm.
Notes
Use Ceylon cinnamon for the best flavor and safety if drinking regularly. Do not reuse cinnamon sticks.
