Description

A vibrant Cranberry Dip featuring fresh cranberries, herbs, and spices layered over creamy cheese. Perfect for entertaining and holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 3 green onions, chopped (about 1/3 cup)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, packed
  • 1 tablespoon jalapeño, minced and seeded
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. Prepare cranberry mixture: Place cranberries in food processor. Pulse 8-10 times until coarsely chopped. Add green onions, cilantro, jalapeño, sugar, cumin, and lemon juice. Pulse 6-8 times until finely chopped but not pureed.
  2. Chill mixture: Transfer to bowl, cover, and refrigerate 4-5 hours to develop flavors.
  3. Assemble dip: Spread cream cheese evenly on serving plate with raised edges. Using slotted spoon, distribute cranberry mixture over cream cheese, leaving some edges visible.
  4. Serve immediately: Provide crackers, pita chips, or sliced baguette for dipping.

Notes

  • Room temperature cream cheese spreads smoothly without tearing
  • Drain excess liquid from cranberry mixture before assembly
  • Store covered in refrigerator up to 5 days
  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
