Description
A fresh and creamy guacamole recipe featuring ripe avocados, zesty lime, and a kick of jalapeño. Ready in just 12 minutes, it is the perfect dip for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/3 cup red onion, finely diced
- 3 large ripe avocados
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- Slice the avocados in half carefully, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Use a fork or potato masher to crush the avocados until they are creamy but still have some visible chunks.
- Add the diced red onion, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt to the bowl. Fold the ingredients together gently to combine without overworking the avocados.
- Taste the mixture and add a pinch more salt or lime juice if needed. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover tightly to store.
Notes
To store leftovers, place plastic wrap directly against the surface of the guacamole to prevent oxidation.
