Description
A fresh and simple dessert featuring juicy orange segments dipped in rich chocolate and finished with sea salt.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 large Sumo Citrus or Navel Oranges
- Pinch of Flaky Sea Salt
- 150g Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Peel the oranges completely and separate them into individual segments, taking care to remove any excess white pith strings for the best texture.
- Combine the chocolate chips and olive oil in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second bursts and stirring until smooth and glossy.
- Dip each orange segment about two-thirds into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off before placing it on a parchment-lined tray.
- Sprinkle a small amount of flaky sea salt over the wet chocolate immediately.
- Place the tray in the freezer for roughly 10 to 15 minutes until the chocolate shell has hardened completely.
Notes
Ensure the orange segments are dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere better.
