Ingredients
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder, sifted
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup canola or extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and prepare an 8×8 baking dish with cooking spray and parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, water, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and fold until just combined and no flour streaks remain.
- Spread the thick batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 42 to 48 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing.
Notes
For cleaner slices, chill the brownies in the fridge after they have cooled to room temperature.
