Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Description

Crispy, sweet, and savory roasted Brussels sprouts coated in a caramelized honey butter glaze. A perfect easy side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Wash the roasted Brussels sprouts thoroughly and pat them completely dry with a paper towel before trimming the ends and slicing them in half.
  2. Place the prepared sprouts in a large mixing bowl and pour the melted butter and honey over them. Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on top, then toss everything with a spoon or your hands until every piece is evenly coated in the mixture.
  3. Arrange the sprouts in a single layer on your baking sheet, making sure they are not overlapping so they roast properly. Bake them for 15 minutes, then remove the pan carefully to check their progress.
  4. Flip the sprouts over to ensure even browning and return the pan to the oven for another 10 to 15 minutes. They are ready when the edges are deep golden brown and the centers are tender when pierced with a fork.

Notes

For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the honey mixture.
