Description

A restaurant-quality seafood dinner featuring flaky salmon fillets topped with a rich, buttery lump crab crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 pound lump crabmeat, drained
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Place 2 tablespoons of the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and melt it in the oven.
  2. Place the salmon fillets into the baking dish directly on top of the melted butter. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the crabmeat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Pour in the remaining 4 tablespoons of melted butter and stir until combined.
  4. Spoon the crab mixture evenly over the top of the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

Ensure you check the crabmeat for shells before mixing.
